Free Slow Cooker Recipes

For busy parents slow cooker recipes are one of the easiest ways to get weekday dinners on the table. You can prepare the ingredients the night before. Brown the meat in the morning and have a delicious meal waiting when you get home.
If you like pork nothing beats the ease of barbecue pork done in a slow cooker. Following is one of my favourite barbecue pork slow cooker recipes.
My Favorite Barbecue Pork Slow Cooker Recipe
This pork on a bun slow cooker recipe ranks in the top three of my all time favorite barbecue pork slow cooker recipes because it’s a nice combination of pork and beef and due to the fact the ingredients can all be thrown into my slow cooker at the same time.
My family enjoys this barbecue pork and beef recipe served up on a bun with coleslaw or salad on the side.
1 1/2 pounds lean beef, cut into bite-sized cubes
1 1/2 pounds pork, cut into bite-sized cubes2 cups onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dry mustard
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours, until the meat comes apart or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours. Just prior to eating break up the meat by stirring.

Following is one of our favorite chicken and rice crockpot recipes.
My Favorite Broccoli Chicken and Rice Slow Cooker Recipe
2 lbs. boneless chicken breasts, cut in strips
1 1/4 cups uncooked long grain rice
1 package of Knorr's Cream of Broccoli Soup Mix
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
Lightly spray your slow cooker with cooking oil. Pour in the rice to make your first layer. Top with chicken strips. Blend the soup mix and your chicken broth together and pour on top. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.
Serves 4.

My family also has several favorite crockpot chili recipe ideas. Below is one of my favorite and easiest slow cooker recipes which use basic ground beef and kidney beans.
My Favorite Basic Crockpot Chili Recipe
2 lbs. ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 ribs celery, chopped
1 large (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 cans kidney, rinsed and drained
1 can baked beans
1 tsp. pepper
3 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic salt
Cayenne pepper, to taste
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet. Drain off fat. Put everything in slow cooker, cover and cook for up to 10 hours on LOW or up to 5 hours on HIGH.
Serves 6.
